Henderson had a fight with his wife. He'd wanted to talk about a divorce, but she'd been in a foul temper. So he wandered into a bar, and impulsively, listelessly, asked the girl on the stool next to his to join him for the evening. He didn't even look at her face or ask her name.
So, when he came home that night to find his wife strangled, and the police waiting for him, his only alibi was the featureless girl. She had disappeared, and he could not remember a single thing about her.
And neither could the witnesses who swore he's been alone tht night!
